i think this was the day I met Guy Carlo. He stalked me for a while and finally I met him, then dated him, and he’s still one of my best friends. He had a bb gun bottle target practice space set up on his floor of this artist studio commune building that used to be a meat packing place or something. Man, I look cute. I miss having tuns of clothes. I asked him to take a picture of me with my P&S. He did.

A lot of my negatives where poorly scanned by a cheap lab in upstate NY. I hope one day I have the time, money and resources to sit down and properly scan and organize them all, there’s some gems in there that I know would be great if they were scanned right, but aren’t so I can’t do anything with them. Even this one could be a lot better with a high res scan.

I lost all my cameras when my boat flooded after I ran aground and the dripless packing slipped and I didn’t realize it. While I was busy setting an anchor for when the tide came back up and doing other things on deck, the water came above the floorboards and my camera bags were on the floor under my salon table. So, recently I was gifted a small Panasonic Lumix which I’m trying to get the hang of - It is more an advanced point and shoot than an SLR, though I can change the aperture and shutter speed (however it likes to force the ISO to meter the way it thinks it should be).
So I am living in the Keys on my 23′ sailboat, have no idea really what I’m doing, dating someone new who is really good to me and spending a lot of time with, I’m broke, confused and generally trying to survive. It’s really strange to be happy with the person you are dating while everything else seems to be falling apart.
I’m about to open up my external HD, which might help to lift my spirits to go through my archives.
